    This Story Will Shake You

    Dear Readers:

We report this week the mind-boggling story of the 4 Palestinian hijackers who were first sentenced to death, then to 300 years in prison, then 25 years in prison and when they completed their sentences, 9/11 happened. Now they don’t want to come out of jail fearing the FBI and new trials in US courts. How bad the fortunes of people can get?

This week South Asian action will converge on in New York when General Musharraf and PM Vajpayee meet President Bush and several other world leaders. Both refuse to see each other though. Next week PM Jamali of Pakistan will be in Washington with Mr. Bush. These events will have a far reaching impact on South Asia and its future. We will keep tracking it for you.

    Take Care

    Shaheen Sehbai
